Dr. Daniele Doucet (nee Duplassie) has been practicing the art of psychotherapy since 1999. She holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, has a PhD in Human Sexuality, and is currently completing a PhD in Counselling Psychology. In addition to her academic pursuits, Daniele is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, a Certified Clinical Sexologist with the American College of Sexologists, a Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, a professor at Adler University, and the Founder and Director of The Shanti Counselling Centre. Daniele’s main areas of specialization include (but are not limited to): sexual(ity) concerns/functioning, gender identity and expression, relational distress (couples/families/open relationships), LGBTQ+ relationships and challenges, anxiety/depression, stress, and life meaning.
